Instagram for Android: Finally!

Today on Mashable.com, all people seem to be talking about how Instagram is now available on Android smartphones.

This news was actually announced in March at SXSW by Kevin Systrom, co-founder of the app, and ever since, Android users have been waiting for it’s release.

Well the wait’s over and people are already loving the app — and some are hating it.

While Instagram on the iPhone and Android are practically identical, there are a few differences that people aren’t too thrilled about.

Take the “tilt” function that iPhone Instagram users are able to use. This tool allows users to focus in on a specific spot of a photo and distort (fade, sharpen, etc.) the rest of the photo.

Though, people are a little P.O.’d about this missing feature, I think they’ll find the Advanced Camera will make up for the missing tool.

The Advanced Camera tool automatically re-sizes photos for you, so you don’t have to recrop images anymore, like with the iPhone. This makes the Android version of Instagram much more user-friendly.
